Focusing on unleashing the value of green emission reduction of the 700TEU electric vessel, COSCO SHIPPING Development, in collaboration with China Quality Certification Center Co., Ltd., has innovatively developed an accounting method and model for greenhouse gas emission reductions from the transportation of electric container ships replacing fuel-powered ships. Based on this model, the company has successfully obtained China's first greenhouse gas emission reduction certificate for domestic trade vessels, which provides important support for the realization of green transformation value in inland waterway shipping and the development of relevant standards.

The certificate issued to Changhong Electric this time clearly quantifies the specific emission reduction data of the 700TEU electric vessel during actual cargo transportation. It also innovatively realizes the synchronous uploading of relevant information to the GSBN blockchain platform, establishing a full-chain closed loop for electric vessel green transportation with "measurable emission reduction data, traceable service processes, and verifiable green value".
