On July 30, the 80,000 DWT multipurpose grain carrier "GUO LIANG HAI" of COSCO SHIPPING Development was successfully named at the terminal of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Dalian). The vessel is the sixth sister ship in the Company's series of multipurpose grain carriers. Its delivery will further strengthen maritime transportation capacity for grain and other essential commodities.

Built to the same technical standards as the other vessels in the series, GUO LIANG HAI measures 229.95 meters in length and 32.26 meters in breadth. Its box-shaped cargo holds balance capacity utilization with loading flexibility and can accommodate grain, containers, large equipment and various other cargoes. Its green and low-carbon design and intelligent ship system further enhance energy efficiency, environmental performance, navigational safety and operating economy. The vessel will subsequently be chartered and operated by COSCO SHIPPING Bulk on major maritime grain routes.
