On April 10, the naming ceremony for two 80,000-ton multipurpose grain carriers, "Guo Zhi Hai" and "Guo Ming Hai," built by COSCO SHIPPING Development, was held at the dock of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian). This marks another significant milestone in the company's industry-finance integrated project following the delivery of the first vessel, "Guo Yun Hai."

Both vessels are newly developed multi-purpose grain carriers independently designed and built in China, measuring 229.95 meters in length and 32.26 meters in width. Featuring a box-shaped cargo hold design, they offer flexible loading capabilities for various cargo types including grain, containers, and large-scale equipment. In terms of environmental protection, the vessel features a methanol-ready design with energy efficiency indicators meeting international advanced standards, laying the technical foundation for green fuel conversion and demonstrating the company's proactive commitment and responsibility in driving the decarbonization of the shipping industry.

Upon delivery, the vessel will be leased to COSCO SHIPPING Bulk Co., Ltd. and primarily engaged in the import transportation of bulk cargo such as grain, providing robust maritime transport support for grain shipments. At the same time, the vessel's multi-purpose design meets the export demands of high-end equipment such as wind power and engineering machinery, facilitating the global expansion of "Made in China".

The addition of the two vessels will inject new momentum into the industry. COSCO SHIPPING Development will continue to closely collaborate with the shipping industry chain, leveraging its integrated industrial-financial strength to ensure supply chain stability and drive the green and low-carbon transformation of the shipping sector.
