On November 26, COSCO SHIPPING Development successfully held the "Kick-off Meeting for the Establishment of Trustworthy Supply Chain Nodes and a Flexible Work System" The conference aimed to fully align with the group’s development strategy, fostering collaboration with industry chain partners to establish secure, trustworthy, and resilient supply chain nodes. It also marked the launch of a flexible work system, utilizing agile organizational frameworks across units and sectors to attract top talent from diverse fields, thereby driving high-quality growth of core functions and business operations.
Du Haiying, Deputy General Manager and Member of the Party Committee of COSCO SHIPPING Development, elaborated on the vision and core objectives of the Trustworthy Supply Chain Node Construction Project. The industrial-financial platform will serve as a "bonding agent," leveraging synergies across production, finance, and investment to pioneer an incubation and investment platform for trustworthy supply chain nodes. The goal is to achieve seamless integration of logistics, trade, and financial chains, delivering six key trust-building outcomes in policy, operations, data, finance, sustainability, and strategy. The conference outlined a clear pathway to serve national strategies and address corporate pain points through an integrated "investment + construction + operation" approach. The meeting also introduced the flexible work system, designed to transcend traditional organizational boundaries and enable agile talent deployment across subsidiaries, centering on task-based collaboration without reassigning personnel.

They underscored a unified resolve and the pressing need for cross-unit collaboration in supply chain integration to collectively drive global channel expansion.
Wang Kunhui, Director, General Manager, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of COSCO SHIPPING Development, highlighted that establishing a trusted supply chain node with COSCO SHIPPING Holdings/Lines as the anchor enterprise represents a tangible step to fully implement the group leadership’s directive of "maximizing the efficiency of investment pathways" for the industrial-financial platform. This initiative strategically capitalizes on opportunities to set an international supply chain benchmark, demonstrating the state-owned enterprise's commitment to serving national strategies and safeguarding public welfare. The project is still in its early stages. With robust support and guidance from COSCO SHIPPING Group, along with the dedicated efforts of the flexible working team, it will effectively leverage the collective expertise of leading supply chain entities and its sister companies to achieve successful outcomes together.

They encouraged all employees to fully grasp the importance of node construction and inspired staff to actively engage in flexible team initiatives and project practices.
