The ESG China Innovation Annual Meeting & First ESG International Expo kicked off in Beijing from October 24 to 26. The opening day's main forum unveiled the "2025 ESG Action Report," along with the "China ESG Listed Companies Pioneer 100" ranking and the "Chinese Central SOE Listed Companies ESG Pioneer 100" ranking. COSCO SHIPPING Development was selected for inclusion in both rankings.

The "China ESG Listed Companies Pioneer 100" list is jointly compiled and released annually since 2023 by the Financial and Economic Program Center of China Media Group, in collaboration with the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the State-owned Economy Research Think Tank of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the China Enterprise Reform and Development Society. This year's ranking drew from an initial sample of 6,508 A-share and H-share Chinese listed companies as of April 30, 2025. A shortlist of 1,145 companies was first created based on market cap, influence, and ESG activity, from which the final 100 ESG pioneers were selected.
