On March 4th, the COSCO SHIPPING Production-Financing Platform held a meeting to advance the construction of intelligent factories and conduct a review for the "Advanced Level" intelligent factories. The meeting aimed to implement the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission's deployment of intelligent manufacturing and the requirements of China COSCO SHIPPING's Intelligent Factory Tiered Action Plan, accelerating the construction of intelligent factories within the Production-Financing Platform. Experts and professors in the field of artificial intelligence from the China Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and COSCO SHIPPING Technology were invited to attend and participate in the review.

Professor Wang Lin from Shanghai Jiao Tong University delivered a special lecture titled “AI Applications and Deepening Driven by Intelligent Manufacturing Scenarios” at the meeting, providing an in-depth analysis of the characteristics of intelligent manufacturing and how emerging technologies such as AI can empower it. The review panel conducted a preliminary review of Shanghai Universal Container Factory, which is affiliated with the company. The construction achievements of the container factory were highly affirmed by the experts.

Participants shared and exchanged views on the construction of intelligent factories within the Production-Financing Platform. Moving forward, the platform will adhere to strategic leadership, deeply understand the significance of intelligent manufacturing for the transformation and upgrading of the container manufacturing sector, enhance digital and intelligent empowerment,
