To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important directives and deployments on aiding Xizang, and to further advance targeted assistance efforts, from October 21 to 23, Hu Haibing, Member of the Party Committee and Chief Accountant of COSCO SHIPPING Development, led a delegation to Lhorong County, Xizang, for a research and inspection visit on aid-related work.

The delegation, together with relevant leaders from Lhorong County, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the "Zhixing Pavilion" project—a container-based faculty activity center at Yuxi Township Primary School in Lhorong County, funded by COSCO SHIPPING Group. Following the "Zhixiang Pavilion" project (the containerized student canteen at Lajiu Township No. 1 Primary School), the "Zhixing Pavilion" project marks COSCO SHIPPING Development's second modular container construction initiative. Building upon and refining the technical expertise from previous modular container projects, this design reduces the number of modules from 14 to 12 by adjusting container width, effectively cutting transportation costs. Through staggered stacking for natural functional zoning, reinforced structures, and climate-adaptive features, it creates a multifunctional space integrating dining, storage, and cultural leisure for plateau-area teachers and students.

During their stay in Lhorong, the delegation also visited the containerized student canteen project at Lajiu Township No. 1 Primary School, a 2024 initiative funded by the company. They donated relief supplies and conducted field surveys in Dituo Town and Shuodu Town to assess potential medical and educational aid projects planned for 2026 in Lhorong County.

This visit has further strengthened the bond between COSCO SHIPPING Development and Lhorong County in Xizang. Under the guidance of COSCO SHIPPING Group, COSCO SHIPPING Development will continue to uphold its responsibilities as a central enterprise, leveraging its strengths to make greater contributions to improving the livelihoods of Lhorong residents and supporting the high-quality economic and social development of the region.
