In alignment with the commitment to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthen cultural guidance, and help new employees cultivate clear career objectives while building a solid foundation for their professional growth, COSCO SHIPPING Development successfully organized the 2025 Group Management Trainee and New Employee Induction Program at its affiliated Qidong Container Plant from November 4 to November 5. The program drew over 40 participants, including the Group's 2025 management trainees and new employees from COSCO SHIPPING Development's domestic and overseas units, who attended the training either in-person or through virtual channels.

Designed to closely align with the company’s strategic development objectives and the growth requirements of new employees, the program incorporated immersive field visits. Participants explored frontline container manufacturing workshops, gaining firsthand exposure to operational workflows and enhancing their safety awareness. Furthermore, the training featured expert-led sessions by company leaders and key figures from the industry-finance synergy platform, covering topics such as corporate strategy, talent planning, business knowledge, safety protocols, and integrity compliance. These sessions aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge, refine their business acumen, reinforce disciplinary standards, and elevate their sense of job responsibility and operational effectiveness.
Mr. Wang Kunhui, Director, General Manager, and Deputy Party Committee Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING Development, delivered a keynote lecture titled "Gathering Momentum Together,Building the Future." In his address, he elaborated on the company's core mission and development vision as the group's industry-finance synergy platform. Drawing on his own professional journey, he particularly encouraged new employees to: first, uphold self-discipline and dedication to hone professional competencies; second, pursue self-driven growth while maintaining a passion for hard work; and third, embrace innovation to propel corporate progress. He encouraged everyone to act as "collaborative companions," aligning with the company’s mission and jointly shaping its future, while realizing personal value by reinforcing and complementing the group’s supply chain capabilities.
Following two days of intensive training, the new employees unanimously reported not only a deeper understanding of the company’s strategic positioning and business landscape but also clearer long-term career planning tailored to their respective roles. The program has enhanced team cohesion and fostered a stronger sense of corporate belonging. They pledged to remain true to their original aspirations, commit to lifelong learning, and actively contribute to the company’s development.
