In order to implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthen the leading role of enterprises in innovation, support the pooling of factors of innovation into enterprises, and drive enterprises to actively engage in technological innovation, management innovation, and business model innovation, the Company organized a special training on OKR for the industry-finance platform in the afternoon of January 16. The training was delivered by Huawei's senior human resources expert, AiBo. Zhang Mingwen, the managing director and deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Liu Nan, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Du Haiying and Yu Zhen, the deputy general manager of COSCO SHIPPING Development, and chairman of labor union, Zhou Yuanyuan attended the training. Both domestic andinternational units of the industry-finance platform participated in thetraining either on-site or online. Leaders from China COSCO SHIPPING andcertain subsidiaries also attended the training, with over 240 participants in total.
Aibo introduced OKR as a structured goal-setting tool and continuous execution tracking process. He elaborated on how to apply it to inspire employees' self-drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity, align personal and organizational goals, boost team collaboration and execution capabilities, and foster continuous growth and optimization of theorganization. Additionally, using OKR's application at Huawei as an example,Aibo expanded on the three spirits of OKR: "daring to challenges,transparency, and win-win cooperation".
Zhang Mingwen pointed out that this training served as a valuable source ofinspiration and reference for the enterprise to further innovate management thinking and management methodologies and enhance mechanism procedures. It played a facilitating role in helping the enterprise establish agile and efficient execution mechanisms, navigate uncertainties and attain strategic objectives. He underscored that innovation in enterprise management should serve the implementation of national and group strategic initiatives, and foster the alignment of enterprise development with broader objectives through comprehensive management innovation. Furthermore, he outlined three work requirements: firstly, to steadfastly promote strategic management innovation with a focus on high-quality development; secondly, to deeply advance management mechanism innovation aimed at enhancing efficiency; and thirdly, to research and devise specific implementation strategies for diverse innovative mechanisms, tailored to the specific circumstances of the enterprise and grounded in pragmatic action.
The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed that "education, science and technology, and human resources are the foundational and strategic pillars for building a modern socialist country in all respects".
