SHIPPING Development has recently carried out the exchange and training
activities for the 2024 Group's management trainees and new employees, and
guided the new employees to establish their initial intention of joining the
company and deeply understand the company's culture, building the foundation of
personal growth and corporate development.
Meeting
and Exchange Session for Group's Management Trainees
As the first step to enter COSCO SHIPPING
Development, the company held a meeting and exchange session for the 2024 Group
Management Trainees. Mr. Zhang Mingwen, Chairman, Secretary of Party Committee
and General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING Development, attended the meeting and expressed
a warm welcome on behalf of the Company to the management trainees and answered
their concerns patiently, emphasizing that “they should
continue to learn, accumulate experience, establish the concept of integrity,
and tie up the first button of their lives”. He
encouraged the management trainees to be young talents with courage to take
responsibility and make contribution. The mentors of the management trainees
made an in-depth introduction of each business segment, providing clear
guidelines for the management trainees' future growth. The management trainees
were enthusiastic and introduced themselves one by one, and actively
communicated and interacted with the mentors at the meeting.
In order to further promote new employees'
in-depth understanding of the company's business and rapid integration into the
corporate culture, the company carried out a series of onboarding training for
2024 management trainees and new employees from October 17 to November 1
through centralized training and practical visits.
Centralized
Training Stage
During the two-day centralized training, 10
internal trainers of the company made a comprehensive and systematic
introduction around corporate culture, corporate strategy, business
development, professional knowledge, clean practice, safety and compliance,
etc., and configured the training and assessment mechanism with high standards
and strict requirements. At the same time, the company organized new employees
to visit China COSCO SHIPPING's corporate culture showroom to actively convey
the group's vision and corporate culture. The centralized training aimed to
deepen new employees' understanding and knowledge of business, enhance
compliance awareness, and improve their sense of job responsibility and work
efficiency by mastering the content of the training on what they should know
and be able to do. The 2024 class of the Group's management trainees, and the
new employees of the headquarters of COSCO SHIPPING Development and its
affiliated entities totaled more than 40 people, who participated in the
training in on-site or on-line form.
Practical
Visit Stage
After completing the centralized training,
the new employees went to Ningbo Container Factory, a subsidiary of Shanghai
Universal, for a three-day practical visit, in-depth study of the excellent
culture, safety production standards and production process of the container
factory, and through the field visit to the factory and port, they had a visual
experience of the actual scene of business operations. In addition, the new
employees also participated in the signing ceremony of the cooperation between
the Ningbo Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Shanghai Jiao Tong
University and Ningbo Container Factory on industry-academia-research and party
building, which witnessed the important moment of school-enterprise
cooperation, and also drew a successful conclusion for this training.
